Social Media Marketing Intern

About the Role

Marketix is looking for a enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Intern to join our social media team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in digital marketing to get hands-on experience managing real client social media accounts, working closely with our content, design, and performance marketing teams. You’ll learn the day-to-day of running social media for multiple brands in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) for client accounts
• Research trending content, hashtags, reels formats, and industry updates relevant to client brands
• Write captions and support content calendars under guidance from the social media team
• Coordinate with the design and video team to get creatives and reels ready for posting
• Track basic page performance (reach, engagement, follower growth) and help prepare simple reports
• Monitor comments and messages on client social pages, flagging queries to the team
• Support with influencer research and shortlisting where required
• Stay updated with new features and trends across social platforms

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field
• Genuine interest in social media, content, and digital marketing
• Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn as platforms (personal use experience counts)
• Good written communication skills for captions and client-facing content
• Basic familiarity with Canva or similar tools is a plus
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a fast-paced team environment

Nice to Have

• A personal or college social media project/page you’ve managed
• Basic knowledge of Meta Business Suite or scheduling tools
• Interest in performance marketing or paid social
